Seborrhea treatment

Sebum is essential for making hair water-resistant, elastic and shiny. But if too much is produced,
it may cause significant problems: seborrhea and heavy, oily hair which gets dirty easily and has
an unpleasant odor. Many researchers say that sebum contains active androgen metabolites that
collect in the internal collar of the hair follicle and thus alter the inner epithelial sheath, which tends
to weaken the hair and cause it to fall out. That's why it's a good idea to wash your hair often and
not let it become oily.
Use a very gentle shampoo that's also effective in removing sebum, together with lotions which
reduce excessive sebum production.
The Clinical Derm Seborrhea treatment offers three special shampoos that contain plant-derived
substances which normalize the three types of seborrhea:
- Greasy, whose dense, compact sebum is removed with concentrated extracts of Ivy and
Plantain to leave hair shiny and healthy.
- Oily, with a fluid sebum that smears on the skin and hair and is removed with White Nettle
and sulfur.
- Flowing, whose sebum mixed with excessive sweat on the scalp is fully purified by the
